We believe that wearing a school uniform promotes a sense of pride, belonging, and equality among our students. Our uniform policy ensures that all pupils are dressed appropriately for learning, representing our school community with respect and professionalism.

Optional items of kit:
Forgotten your kit?
If you forget your kit, you are expected to borrow a kit from one of the baskets in the PE corridor, and return it to the black basket after the lesson so that it can be washed before being used again.
Borrowing a kit can avoid a sanction, providing it is not a regular occurence.
Need support in getting a PE kit?
The PE Department has a range of GW kits, including t-shirts and hoodies, in all sizes. All items have been washed and are ready to be offered to students in need of some new kit.
Outgrown your old PE kit?
Bring any old / unwanted kit to the PE office to help us continue to support other students. All donations will be rewarded with house points.
All students without kit will receive a negative on their CC.
Refusal to participate in the lesson / non-compliance with the above will result in Yellow / Amber / Red cards being issued for behaviour.
Students should be removed from the lesson by On Call using Team SOS for non-compliance with the expectations outlined.

These are NOT permitted in or around the school during the school day. The rationale behind this has been to allow learning to take place without distraction. Research shows that schools that do not allow students access to mobiles have seen improved test scores by 6.4%, which is the equivalent of adding five days of learning to the school year. Phones will be confiscated and students instructed to collect at the end of the day if seen out on the premises.
